While this blog was originally about the process of adopting my li'l Monkey from Russia, I'm experimenting with changing the name to make it more about what it's evolved into... moments and thoughts from here in NYC! Keeping in that mode, I retain the option to change it back in a NY minute.

Yep, it's true. I've been terribly remiss about posting pics here. Anyway, a few fave recent Monkey shots for you admirable resistors of the evil FB lure...
Congrats on the Monkey. We are going through adopting our little baby girl. I was there in the room when she was born. The entire first part of our adoption story is a fairy tale dream come true. Then after she was born and the birth mom willingly gave up her rights got greedy when she got money from her grandfather passing away. She got back with the birth father before he was served termination papers. Long court battle but the judge ruled in our favor and we are now waiting on finalization. Your little girl looks very happy and loved. Our little girl is 18 months old now and I can't wait for her to start her funny comments to me too. Stay cool!
